October 2008 - RS2 signs agreement with Croatian Postal Bank

RS2 Software p.l.c. recently signed a three-year comprehensive license and service package agreement with Croatian postal bank Hrvatska Postanska Banka (HPB).

October 2008 - RS2 signs new agreement with Nordic company

EDB, a leading Nordic IT provider, has signed an agreement with Sweden's largest chain of petrol stations. The agreement which runs for five years and is one of the largest contracts for card services that EDB has won in the Swedish market will involve the delivery of payments services for the chain's customers. EDB will be using the RS2 bankWORKS platform to provide the basis for its products and services in this area.

The Systems/Network Administrator will be responsible for developing, enhancing and sustaining the IT operations, practices and projects. You are required to perform day to day administration duties of the network/server environment and to manage your assistant. You will assist in the design and planning of the IT infrastructure under the guidance of the Chief Technology Officer. You will also be responsible for the group's backup procedures, technology inventory control and required to help the company's Oracle Database Administrator with the maintenance of the Oracle Servers and data management.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in a Systems/Network Administration role. You will be confident in the use of the following technologies:

Working knowledge of Linux operating systems

Microsoft XP/Vista desktop, Office 2003/2007, NT/2000/2003 server, active directory

Installation and configuration of web servers and application servers (Apache, JBoss, Tomcat), firewalls/security, NIS/NFS, DNS, MTAs

General TCP/IP Networking

Knowledge of Mail Server and NAS/SAN network storage operating system

Supporting routers, Linux firewalls, switches, hubs, and other network devices; Cisco experience preferred

VPN/Cisco and other similar remote technologies

Industry-standard backup and recovery tools

Server virtualization products

Advanced hardware and software troubleshooting skills

Knowledge of Oracle Database and other operating systems such as Sun SOLARIS and AIX are considered an important asset but you will otherwise be expected to learn these technologies on the job.

In this position you will have the opportunity to travel to our client sites and analyse their requirements. You will also be working closely with the global card schemes (e.g. Visa, MasterCard and American Express) and will have access to their suite of testing simulators allowing you to perform quality assurance activities.
